“My artwork saved me on more than one occassion. I had so little for so long. I looked for beauty in a world that had only hurt me, nearly killed me, had taken my life, my joy, my childhood. I looked inside and I found life. I found beauty. I found my joy, my heart, my will to live. I found my strength. I found the love, the spirit that had kept me alive and nourished me when I thought I was most alone. My pain was clearly there in my earlier work. The joy, the triumph, the strength, the Spirit is present in my later work.”

Linda Virgil
Ms. Virgil is an emerging glass artist. Below is “The Survivor, my favorite wolf and expression of the lonesome existence of the last wolf. Please view both sides of the wolf.” The picture is created, then painted on each side of one panel of plexiglass, one side in striking contrast. The glass is frosted, adding to its unique appearance, with matching handmade stands.
